Cyprus Mathematical Society (CY)

Cyprus Mathematical Society is a non-profit organization established in Cyprus since 1983. Its purpose is to promote Mathematics Education and Science. C.M.S. activities include the organization of all local mathematics competitions, such as the Cyprus Math Olympiad and the Mathematics Relay. Other activities include the annual conference on Mathematics Science and Education, the annual Student Mathematics Conference, International Mathematics Conferences and a Summer Mathematics School. Secondary School “Mihai Eminescu” – Alba Iulia (RO)

Established 37 years ago, as School No. 7, “Mihai Eminescu” School of Alba Iulia has officially opened its doors on 15 September 1980, in a new building with 23 classrooms, 3 laboratories and 2 workshops. The school had initially 1,031 students, enrolled in 29 classes, 534 students in primary and 497 in secondary levels, being guided by 40 teachers. During school years 1990-1995 the students number increased up to 1,200 students. Since 1995 the number of students has decreased year by year, leading to a total of 1060 students enrolled in 42 classes, guided by 68 teachers, in the last school year, 2015-2016.
